30 Weeks! (7 months)

Kolton's 7th monthaversary is on Friday.  Wow!

He's teething like a maniac.  Remember he cut his two bottom center at about 4 months.  Now the top center two are peeking through.  My poor little guy is doing OK.  He actually doesn't drool too much which I've heard is very common.  But he does seem to be in some pain.  Especially at night.  Over the past two weeks he has been waking up at night screaming.  But all it takes is a little comforting and a lullaby from the frog Slumber Buddy and we're good to go.

I'm still trying very hard not to get all wrapped up in comparing Kolton's development.  After all, I don't want my baby to grow up too quickly!

Oh, yeah...the love affair with Sophie continues!

29 Weeks!

I know I'm a day late and this was the best I could do!  It's becoming more difficult to get the shot with the weekly sign in it because Kolton is all about crumpling paper...can you tell?!?!

Speaking of crawling, we are no where near it.  I'm trying really hard not to get all caught up in comparing development but my friend Julie's son, Rowan, is 4 days younger than Kolton and crawling already.  Outside of tummy time is there anything else I should be doing to help him?

Da Beeeeach!

We had a wonderful trip to Ocean City!  And I think I may have a beach bum on my hands.  Kolton loved it!  I couldn't believe how much he liked his sunglasses.  He never really tried to get them off his head or anything.  He was a little confused when we first put them on him but after that he was completely chill as the picture suggests.  The ocean completely calmed him.  If he would get a little fussy all I had to do was take him down by the water and he was out in a matter of minutes.  Everyday he took a two hour nap and slept pretty well at night too.  I'll post some more pictures once I can get them downloaded from my camera.

I forgot to pack the 24 Week sign so here it is a few days late.  Kolton has become quite the little ham.  He always has a smile or a curious grin on his face.

Today we are busy getting the house ready to list for rent.  The movers are coming to pack us up on July 21st.  That's less than two weeks away!  We're making pretty good progress so far so I better get back to it!

22 Weeks!

I made the mistake of feeding him right before this picture was taken.  His shirt is just drenched in spit up!  Oh well, that's life with a baby:-)

Kolton's big developments this week are the voice thing and sleeping on his side.  He even moves from side to side through out the night so hopefully his head will round out a little.  I've decided to stop swaddling him because I fear he will flip over but be too restricted to flip back.  There I go with that fear factor again.  Tummy time is still not his favorite thing in the world but he is able to hold his head up for a longer period of time.  Plus he looks so stinkin cute!

I'm giving myself a little time out from worrying about finding a place to live in Richmond.  I'm in a wedding this weekend and I want to be free to have fun and celebrate without the weight of this move bearing down on my shoulders!

21 Weeks!

We had Kolton's surgery follow up appointment this morning.  The surgeon examined him for approx 30 seconds and everything looks good!  But let me just tell you how much work had to go into getting those 30 seconds.  I ended up having to wake the little man from a nap.  Load him into his carrier.  Take him and Sophie out for a walk with the stroller so Sophie could do her business.  Take carrier out of the stroller and into the car then load stroller into the trunk.  Drive to the appt (thankfully that took less than 15 min).  Find parking, unload the stroller out of the trunk, take carrier out of the car and into the stroller.  Walk two blocks to the appointment.  Check in and confirm info.  Get called in.  Unload Kolton and get him undressed.  See doctor for 30 seconds.  Then do everything in reverse!  Jeez!  I know it's just a lot of loading and unloading but he is getting HEAVY!  Oh and Pratt St was a disaster coming back home and Kolton  was wailing the entire time because he was hungry.  I'm so lucky that the kid doesn't cry like that too often:-)
